        In order to remove various impurities during the flowering process of the raw materials, a grid-shaped dust grid composed of several dust rods is generally installed around the batter. The whiskers sent by the roller are subjected to the action of high-speed rotation, and the separated fiber blocks and impurities are thrown to the dust grid and collide with the dust rods. The fiber blocks are retained by the dust rods, and the impurities fall from the gaps of the dust rods. Then, the fiber block moves forward under the action of another blow and airflow.

         The degree of opening of the fiber raw material directly affects the removal of impurities in the raw material. Usually, in the initial stage of opening, the larger impurities and the less-adhesive impurities in the raw material are easy to separate. With the further opening, some fine impurities must be removed, while some impurities with strong adhesion need to be removed. It can only be removed in large quantities during the carding or combing stage.
